The Playboy and His Power Games
The Prokhorov Effect
“Pretend you are putting a gun against my back,” said the Russian billionaire. We were standing in a small training room on the third floor of his house outside Moscow. Suddenly he pivoted, and any ideas I had of sprinting off with his wallet went poof. His loaded foot was poised to crush my knee. You had to wonder, Did he really need the full security detail that followed his chauffeured Mercedes around Moscow in a Land Rover?

Shyne Writes A letter apologizing To L.A. Reid
A great leader has the unique ability to admit when he’s wrong. Without this ability you suffer the fate of Napoleon and end up dead on your way to Russia.
I was wrong about my assessment of Chairman Reid. After I stopped being all Carl Thomas emotional and things like that, I thought about the facts. Fact is L.A Reid was there when I was locked, a few feet away from death row and the Black Panthers. L.A. was on the visit floor on Rikers Island looking at me through them blinding bars, showing me he believed in that gang boy revolutionary music I make. A bond forged at the nadir of suffering [that’s] unbreakable. That’s why I chose L.A. Reid over all the other distributors. We already went through it. I’ll never forget what L.A. did for me behind that b-wall. Caged like an animal, stripped of all my rights; he gave me freedom— freedom to follow my vision. Freedom to make my momma smile after so many tears and sleepless nights weeping for her baby boy like Rachel the matriarch weeps for the Israelites.

T.I. Loses Remy Martin Sponsership
AXE Body Spray terminated their relationship with T.I. earlier in October, and Remy Martin will now do the same.
The cognac company would be severing ties with Tip, after they were initially one of the first corporations to do business with the rapper following his 2009 prison stint. T.I. was named as Remy Martin’s Global Creative Consultant in June, and the split was announced via the following written statement:
“Sometimes the ‘road to redemption’ is a difficult path. Regrettably, we will not be able to continue collaborating with T.I. at this time. We wish T.I. well and hope he will devote his time and energy to staying the course.”
In addition to losing his sponsorships with AXE and Remy Martin, T.I. said being required to serve 11 more months in prison for violating his parole will change some things for his upcoming album.
“Well it ain’t King Uncaged no more; we had to change the title to No Mercy,” T.I. announced during an interview with Hot 107.9’s Ricky Smiley. “Believe it or not, I’m not that busy right now. I’ve got about one thing I’ve got to do. We’re just getting more videos in the can and preparing for this project to be out…awaiting and wrapping things up so we’re ready to deliver it to the world.”
No Mercy is scheduled for a December 7 release.

Billionaire Divorce — $100K a Month in Child Support for ONE child
Ex-MGM owner Kirk Kerkorian is used to writing big checks, so it may only come with a wince that he has to pay $100,000 a month in child support — for one kid!
Kerkorian — who had one of the nastiest and richest divorces ever from ex-wife Lisa Kerkorian — has been fighting Lisa’s bid to drastically increase support for their 12-year-old daughter.
So who woulda thunk? Kirk and Lisa settled … and TMZ has obtained a copy of the agreement, in which Kirk agreed to double the current monthly support, which had previously been set at $50,000.
Child support king Michael Trope managed to squeeze out an additional $10,250,000 in retroactive child support for his client, dating back to 2002.
As part of the deal, Lisa agreed to drop a civil suit she filed against Kirk — which could have been worth tens of millions of dollars.
And here’s the most incredible part — Kirk may not even be the biological daddy.

“[I'm] so excited to take this next step in my career,” Rihanna told The Associated Press in a statement. She had previously been managed by Marc Jordan of Rebel One Entertainment, who was with her from the start of her career.
Plans are underway to launch a new company called Rihanna Entertainment that will “merge all of her businesses, including music, film, fragrance fashion, and book ventures.”
Jay-Z signed Rihanna to Def Jam in 2005 and collaborated with her on his 2009 hit “Run This Town.” She will release her fifth album Loud on November 16.

Shyne Says "L.A. Reid Doesn't Care About Hip Hop"
“I’m definitely trying to get with Cash Money but the Def Jam thing is a question mark right now,” Shyne told SOHH. “I’ve been fixing to get up out of there for a while now because [Island Def Jam CEO] L.A. Reid don’t care about hip-hop. The people up there, they don’t know what they’re doing. When you don’t have a strong leader, where you gonna go? … They don’t care about hip-hop music. You give them a hip-hop record with an R&B singer, you “might” have a chance. They don’t care. You got The Roots, Ghostface, Nas, probably the best hip-hop roster you could imagine and they do nothing. L.A. Reid doesn’t want nothing to do with rappers — it’s nothing personal, I don’t have nothing personal with dude but he makes it known he doesn’t care about hip-hop.
‘m not signed to Def Jam anyway, I just need to find another distributor. I might just have Cash Money do everything. Who knows?

Joaquin Dean Is Relaunching Ruff Ryders With Unusual Business Plan
Inspired by his deep musical roots, Dean and his brother, Darrin, founded Ruff Ryders Entertaiment in 1988. From its Yonkers, N.Y. headquarters, the record label went on to launch the careers of DMX, Swizz Beatz, Eve, Jadakiss, Styles P and others, reaching its height in the late 1990s. Dean says the company raked in roughly $200 million in revenues over a ten-year period. In the meantime his nephew, the aforementioned Swizz Beatz, has become one of hip-hop’s most successful producers (and recently tied the knot with singer Alicia Keys).

Roberto Alomar Exposes wife To Aids
ust imagine if you got married only to discover later that your husband, who you have unprotected sex with, is HIV positive and lied to you about it. That’s exactly what happened with Maria Del Pilar Rivera Alomar. She married former baseball great (Mets and Orioles) Roberto Alomar, and even defended him against ex-girlfriend, Ilya Dall, who accused him of having unprotected sex with her while having full-blown AIDS, allegedly.
According to the NY Post:
“Prior to the marriage” in 2009, the suit says, Alomar assured the chesty chica “he had been tested for sexually transmitted diseases and the tests were negative.”
“Prior to the marriage” in 2009, the suit says, Alomar assured the chesty chica “he had been tested for sexually transmitted diseases and the tests were negative.”
At some point after their wedding, Maria discovered that wasn’t true, the filing says. She “learned from conclusive proof” that he was HIV-positive, the court papers say.
The discovery caused her to “suffer extreme emotional distress, fear and mental anguish,” the filing says.
Fortunately she has not contracted the virus yet, but only time will tell. Should Roberto Alomar go to jail? Alomar is on record denying his contraction of the STD despite the strong speculation which has haunted him since his days in the majors. Last year Alomar definitively told the New York Post he did not have AIDS and would not have gotten married if he did.
Roberto Alomar is widely known for spitting on Umpire John Hirschbeck in 1996 and getting suspended for 5 games. The two since reconciled after he apologized several times publicly.

Nas Tells L.A. Ried "Put My Sh*t Out"
“From: Nas

Subject: PUT MY SHIT OUT!
To: LA Reid, Steve Bartels, Steve Gawley, Michael Seltzer, Joseph Borrino, Chris Hicks
Subject: PUT MY SHIT OUT!
Peace to all,
With all do respect to you all, Nas is NOBODY’s slave. This is not the 1800′s, respect me and I will respect you.
I won’t even tap dance around in an email, I will get right into it. People connect to the Artist @ the end of the day, they don’t connect with the executives. Honestly, nobody even cares what label puts out a great record, they care about who recorded it. Yet time and time again its the executives who always stand in the way of a creative artist’s dream and aspirations. You don’t help draw the truth from my deepest and most inner soul, you don’t even do a great job @ selling it. The #1 problem with DEF JAM is pretty simple and obvious, the executives think they are the stars. You aren’t…. not even close. As a matter of fact, you wish you were, but it didn’t work out so you took a desk job. To the consumer, I COME FIRST. Stop trying to deprive them! I have a fan base that dies for my music and a RAP label that doesn’t understand RAP. Pretty fucked up situation”
Hennessey Already Planning HPE700 Camaro Convertible
Whatever Chevy does, Hennessey Performance seems to believe it can do better. Or at least with more power. And so, just as the Camaro hardtop was quickly followed by HPE’s shockingly fast, LS9-powered HPE700 Camaro, the soon-to-be-released Camaro Convertible will be followed just as quickly by—you guessed it—a HPE Camaro convertible.
The Kardashians' New Neighbors On Spring Street Offer Up Some Advice
The Kardashians call LA home, they’ve “taken” Miami, and now Kim and Kourtney have settled in NYC, where they will open the newest location of their boutique, Dash, at 119 Spring St. (and film a reality show about it, naturally). Maybe the NYC branch will even sell Scott Disick’s forthcoming Ralph Lauren/Tom Ford-inspired line. We’re crossing our fingers that they at least carry over the $10 bottled water with the Kardashian sisters on the label that they sold at the Miami boutique.
