Stephen Webster in talks with Jay-Z for men's line

Jeweller to the stars Stephen Webster could be set to collaborate with rapper Jay-Z on a range of men’s jewellery.
Webster told listeners at a seminar at IJL this morning that he is due to fly to New York in a few days to meet with the rapper to discuss developing a line together.
No firm plans have been put in place yet with the designer saying “we might do it, we might not”.
Webster revealed that the brand has previously turned down a collaboration with The Smiths frontman Morrisey.
Webster has capitalised on his musical connections in the past. Webster made the first piece from his London’s Calling men’s range for Clash rocker Mick Jones and he said that men buying from the range loved the idea of wearing the same ring as Jones.
Webster added: “The buzz from men’s jewellery is exploding, it’s electric, and everybody wants to be a part of that.”
